This is a structural blackout — the fabric itself blocks light regardless of the colour or pattern of the outer layer. Triple-weave can be used as a standalone fabric or added as a lining to a non-blackout outer fabric.

Coated Blackout Lining

A separate lining fabric with a light-blocking coating (typically acrylic or latex) applied to one face. This lining is sewn or bonded to the back of any outer fabric — linen, velvet, printed fabric. The outer fabric looks exactly as it does without a lining; the lining behind it provides the blackout property.
