Pole selection is structural as well as decorative. The pole diameter must match the eyelet ring size (typically 40 mm or 50 mm internal diameter), and the pole must be strong enough to carry the fabric weight without deflecting at the centre. Eyelet curtains draw smoothly on quality poles with consistent surface finishes. Rough or inconsistent pole surfaces cause the rings to catch and bind; rings that are even marginally too small for the pole diameter create the same problem. We match ring size to pole diameter at specification stage rather than leaving this compatibility to chance. On wider windows where the fabric stack when fully open is significant, we position brackets and specify pole length to ensure the stack does not obstruct the usable window width when the curtains are drawn back.
