Dubai Civil Defence mandates that soft furnishings in commercial spaces — offices, meeting rooms, hotel lobbies, hospitality venues, and areas with public access — comply with the fire retardancy standard applicable to the building's classification. This is a condition of the building's fire safety certificate, not an optional specification. Non-compliant materials can result in enforcement action requiring removal and replacement at the building operator's cost. Scale and consistency are the defining requirements of most commercial projects. A single residential project involves twelve to twenty windows. A medium commercial project — one floor of a Business Bay or DIFC tower, a hotel suite programme, or a serviced apartment building — involves forty to two hundred windows. At this scale, fabric batch consistency is critical: curtains across an entire floor must come from the same dye lot to ensure colour uniformity. Installation must frequently be scheduled outside business hours to avoid disruption. Commercial invoicing with VAT breakdown and TRN reference is required for corporate procurement. We treat each of these as standard requirements on every commercial order.

Project management is the primary value we provide on commercial orders above a certain scale. We assign a dedicated project contact who manages the programme from site survey through to final sign-off: tracking manufacturing progress, coordinating building access across multiple installation visits, providing regular progress updates, and preparing the full documentation package — delivery note, installation certificate, FR certification — for facilities management handover. For phased projects delivered floor by floor or unit by unit, the project contact manages the sequencing and access coordination with the building management team throughout.

Commercial pricing is structured differently from residential quotations. Rather than per-window pricing, commercial orders are quoted per programme: total fabric cost, track hardware cost, and installation labour priced by zone or day rate. Volume discounts apply at scale — a programme of fifty identical windows carries a meaningfully lower per-unit cost than the same window ordered individually. We provide a preliminary budget estimate after the initial site visit based on indicative specification, followed by a firm fixed-price quotation once the fabric and heading are confirmed. For multi-phase programmes, we hold the unit price for the agreed programme duration so that later phases are invoiced at the same rate as the initial installation.
