Rechargeable motors are the most popular specification for Dubai apartments — the battery charges via USB every three to six months without removing the motor from the track. Disposable battery motors are available but rarely recommended because the rechargeable alternative is more practical for daily use. We advise on the appropriate power source at the home visit based on your access to power points and how frequently each window will be operated.
Control options range from a basic single-channel remote to multi-channel remotes, flush-mounted wall switch plates, and full smart home integration. Wall switch controls — plates that replace a standard switch position — are increasingly common in premium Dubai apartments because they feel like a permanent architectural feature. Smart home integration connects most systems we supply to Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit, enabling scheduling (open at sunrise, close at sunset), voice control, and scene-based grouping with lighting and climate systems.
