Track & Pole Types
We supply and fit the correct hardware for every curtain type and window configuration.
Wave Track
From AED 65/mSpecialist S-fold wave track for wave/ripple-fold heading. Available in ceiling mount and wall mount profiles. Required for all wave curtains — cannot be substituted with a standard track.
Double Glider Track
From AED 50/mTwo-rail track for sheer + main curtain on the same window. The standard specification for Dubai living rooms. Available in straight and bay-window configurations.
Single Glider Track
From AED 35/mSingle-rail track for one curtain. Used in bedrooms and rooms where only one fabric layer is needed. Available in standard, ceiling-flush, and corded versions.
Motorised Wave Track
From AED 95/mWave track with integrated motor carrier for automated curtains. Compatible with battery, rechargeable, and wired motor systems. The correct track for all motorised wave installations.
Curtain Poles
From AED 45/mAluminium and steel poles in brushed chrome, brass, gunmetal, and matte black. Used for eyelet and pinch/pencil pleat headings. Available from 1m to 4m in single lengths.
Marine-Grade Hardware
IncludedCorrosion-resistant tracks and brackets for Dubai Marina, JBR, and Palm Jumeirah coastal properties. Standard hardware corrodes in salt air within 12–18 months — marine-grade is specified as standard for all coastal installations.
The Right Hardware Is as Important as the Fabric
Most curtain problems — uneven hanging, light gaps at the top, rough operation, and hardware corrosion — are hardware problems, not fabric problems. The curtain is only as good as the system it hangs on.
- Wave curtains require a wave-specific track — standard tracks won't produce the uniform S-fold
- Blackout performance requires the track to mount flush to the ceiling to eliminate top-light gaps
- Coastal properties need marine-grade hardware — standard steel corrodes within 12–18 months
- Motorised curtains need a compatible motor-track — the glider system must match the motor brand
- Bay and angled windows need bent or articulated tracks — not straight tracks with gaps
We Supply & Fit — You Don't Source Separately
Every Rex Curtains order includes the correct track or pole hardware. You don't need to source tracks separately or match them to your curtains — we specify and supply the correct hardware as part of the full installation.
The hardware price is included in your per-window quote, itemised separately so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
Track-Only Fitting
If you already have curtains but need the tracks replaced — or if you're fitting your own curtains onto new tracks — we offer a track-supply-and-fit service without curtains. We specify the correct track type for your heading and window configuration, supply the hardware, and fit it professionally.
Track Replacement
Replace corroded or damaged tracks, or upgrade from an old track type to a wave or motorised system. We remove the old hardware and fit the new track ready for your existing or new curtains.
Prepare for New Curtains
If you're moving into a new property or planning curtains in advance, we can fit the tracks in one visit and hang the curtains in a second visit when they're ready. Good for new-build properties at handover stage.
Curtain Tracks Guide
Curtain Tracks Dubai: The Complete Guide
Curtain tracks in Dubai are specified differently from most other markets because the standard window configuration here places different demands on the hardware. Floor-to-ceiling glazing — common in apartments built since approximately 2010 — means tracks are frequently ceiling-mounted rather than wall-mounted, because wall mounting cannot reach the top of the window without leaving a gap through which light and heat enter. Ceiling-mounted tracks require fixings into concrete soffits, and the fixing specification changes accordingly: we use expansion bolts and stainless steel brackets rated for the combined weight of the track and fabric, which on a full ceiling-to-floor panel can exceed ten kilograms per metre of track.
The most commonly misspecified track in Dubai is the wave track. Wave curtains require a purpose-built wave carrier system — a track with fixed-interval slots that hold the carriers at the precise spacing needed to produce the S-fold. Standard glider tracks, cord tracks, and traverse rods will not produce a wave fold regardless of the fabric or heading. This is a common installation failure: clients who have sourced wave fabric from one supplier and a track from another often arrive at a fitting where the two components are incompatible. Rex supplies the complete track-and-fabric system to eliminate this mismatch entirely.
Double-track systems — for sheer plus main curtain on the same window — require careful specification of bracket spacing and clearance between the two tracks. The inner (sheer) curtain must be able to move freely without catching on the outer track, and both curtains when stacked open must not project so far into the room that they obstruct furniture or movement. In Dubai's typically compact apartment rooms, a projecting stack is a common complaint with poorly designed double-track systems. We calculate the required bracket clearance and combined stack depth at the home visit based on fabric weight and fullness before any order is confirmed.
Marine-grade hardware is the correct specification for all coastal installations in Dubai. Salt air in Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, and Emaar Beachfront attacks standard galvanised steel rapidly — surface rust is visible within six to twelve months, and structural corrosion within two to three years. Anodised aluminium alloy tracks and stainless steel brackets resist this environment significantly longer. The incremental cost of marine-grade hardware is modest and is included in our standard coastal quotation without a separate surcharge. For inland communities such as Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills, and Mirdif, standard aluminium is adequate for the environment.
