Made-to-measure curtains are the standard in Dubai because apartments and villas here are not built to standardised window dimensions. Each developer sets its own fenestration specification, and within a single building the same room type may have windows that differ by several centimetres between floors. Ready-made curtains — produced in a small range of standard widths and drops — cannot accommodate this variability reliably. A ready-made panel that is too narrow leaves visible gaps at the sides; one that is too long and turned up loses fullness. In Dubai, where floor-to-ceiling glazing is common and the gap between the track and the ceiling is frequently under 50 mm, the margin for error is very small and the visual impact of a poor fit is immediate.

The measuring process is more detailed than most clients initially expect. We record window width, drop from the proposed track position to the floor, depth of any window reveal, ceiling material and accessibility for track fixing, position of any obstacles (structural columns, sockets, furniture) that affect the track length or stack position, and the presence of any feature that constrains heading options. Fabric fullness is calculated from the track length rather than the window width, and the fullness ratio varies by fabric weight and heading type. All measurements are recorded at the home visit and confirmed with you before the written quote is issued. The home visit typically takes fifteen to twenty-five minutes for a single room.

Price transparency is a consistent issue in Dubai's curtain market. Many clients have received a verbal quote from another supplier and been presented with a significantly higher total at installation — because the verbal quote was for fabric only, excluded the track, or assumed a shorter drop than the actual window height. Our written quote, issued during the home visit, includes all components: fabric, lining, heading tape or carriers, track or pole hardware, brackets, and fitting labour. There are no travel charges, access surcharges, or installation fees. The written quote is the price you pay.

Standard turnaround from confirmed order to fitting is seven to ten working days for standard-weight fabrics and standard heading types. Rush fitting within five working days is available for most fabrics at a small surcharge. Heavy or specialist fabrics — dense velvet, interlined panels, motorised wave systems — require ten to fourteen working days. We confirm the exact fitting date at order placement and contact you two days before the appointment to confirm access. We carry fixings for concrete, stud wall, and tiled surfaces and do not require advance knowledge of your wall construction to complete a fitting appointment.
